"Forgiveness Is Possible" Pt 1 - Wednesday July 16, 2025

“Forgiveness Is Possible” Pt 1:

It’s been a while, but over the years when discussing the love God has for everyone, an individual may speak up saying, “I can never become a Christian because of the things I’ve done.” Just because no one has mentioned that lately, doesn’t mean there aren’t people thinking that way today. This blog goes far and wide, reaching places and people I never dreamed possible. I suspect some folks read it faithfully, others occasionally, and others perhaps by accident. If this happens to fall before your eyes today, I’d believe it is by Divine appointment if I were you.

It’s just my opinion, but maybe someone like you feels they could never become a Christian because down deep, you don’t want a change in your lifestyle. If anyone doesn’t want to become a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, guess what, the Lord won’t make them. But here’s a question, do you want to go to Heaven when you die? Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me” (John 14:6).

Jesus isn’t “a way” to Heaven, “He’s the ONLY way!”  If there’s even a small inkling of a thought as you read this today about some changes needing to be made in your life, mark it down, God is knocking at your heart’s door. Don’t analyze what you’ve done in the past, consider what you will become by forsaking your sins and inviting Jesus into your life. The Lord does not put stipulations on sin. He simply said, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:8-9). The Apostle Paul adds in 2 Corinthians 5:17 after confessing our sins, “We become a new person, the old is passed away and ALL THINGS BECOME NEW!”

God sent His only Son Jesus into the world to rescue or save us from our sins. When he died on the cross, he died for every sin anyone has ever committed. Why? Because He loves us with an everlasting love. Why? Because we are God’s creation and God will NEVER GIVE UP ON ANY ONE OF US! Not you and not me. The words of an old song say, “There’s room at the cross for you. Though millions have come, there’s still room for one, there’s room at the cross for you.”  At this very moment, you can offer a simple but sincere prayer and ask Jesus to forgive you of all sin and come into your heart and life. Would you like to do that? The choice is yours and yours alone. If necessary, I hope you will.  Join me tomorrow and I’ll share what happens to the person who receives Christ into their life.
