“Jesus is Praying for You”
Our God is Omnipotent (can do anything – there’s nothing He can’t do). He’s Omnipresent (he’s everywhere – read Psalm 139), He’s Omniscient (all knowing) and Immutable (it’s impossible for Him to change from what he is or break a promise). Most of you already know those characteristics, but sometimes we need reminding.
Here’s something you may not know or perhaps have forgotten. It comes from Romans 8:34, “Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died – more than that, who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also INTERCEDING for us.”
Would it be helpful for you to know before you walk into that business meeting today, Jesus not only has you on his mind, but is praying for you? How about the problem with your spouse that seems impossible to solve? Jesus is praying for you. Are you aware that you aren’t alone in carrying the burden for your child? Wherever you go, whatever you do, you are always in the sight of God and his prayers go before you.
The fact is, He knows everything you’re about to face. He’s not surprised by the challenges or disappointments ahead of you. He knows about the upcoming doctor’s appointment or surgery. He understands the worry and frustration that comes when waiting for biopsy results.
God is a personal God and takes special interest you and all your interests. Not only is his presence felt by his prayers for us, but Zephaniah 3:17 adds, “The Lord your God is in your midst, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.” Our God is an AWESOME God!!
